It’s okay to wake up laughing!

April 3, 2021

Susan Hannifin-McNab, author of A to Z Healing Toolbox, writes that “…words, quotes, and phrases, when read and said, can effect positive change in our conscious and subconscious mind. Reviewing quotes that inspire hope interrupts the negative thinking and negative feeling brain pathways that are associated with symptoms of grief and trauma.”

I agree with Susan! I have quotes surrounding me on the walls in my office. They inspire me, give me hope, and make me think. Starting today I am going to post a quote a day on my blog until I run out of my favorite quotes! Maybe they will offer you inspiration, hope, and an opportunity to stop and think as they do for me.

Please enjoy my first quote below.

A heartfelt response to “Radical Survivor”

October 19, 2013

I began reading right there beside the fire, and kept reading until I finished. Nancy is so staggeringly honest. This story is incredibly poignant, sad, funny, and yes, hopeful. It really softened my heart and made tender my spirit. I cannot begin to imagine her pain but because her writing is so descriptive, I did feel her pain while I read. The title is so perfectly apt.

From Jenny: I just finished reading this/your book. It was amazing, and very uplifting. I am currently going through a lot with my mom, and this book helped me realize that I need to make the most of he one I have left with my mom.
